|The Cudgegong Field Naturalists are a group of Mudgee, Gulgong and Kandos residents with a combined passion to rehabilitate local land, encourage native revegetation and growth of native bird populations. The group meets every month and undertakes tours focusing on local birds and plant species across the shire.
The Cudgegong Field Naturalists meet informally at 9am on the 2nd Sunday of each month to take a bushwalk and look at birds, plants and other wildlife.
The Cudgegong Field Naturalists are actively involved in the environmnetal restoration of the Putta Bucca Wetlands.
The group also run an Indian Myna capture and cull project, and can lend out traps to interested parties on request.
