Mon 7Flame, Hooded and Red-capped Robin, Speckled Warbler
Bimbi State Forest
A fantastic haul of woodland birds in 2 hours of early morning at Bimbi SF near Grenfell included 11 Red-capped Robin, 4 Flame Robin and 2 Hooded Robin, 9 Jacky Winter, 7 Speckled Warbler, 5 Southern Whiteface and many others. Almost all of these except the Flames were in a single huge feeding flock. The previous afternoon, 10 Superb Parrot were on nearby Stock Route Road. Numbers/abundance of many species were impressive.

Sun 6Speckled Warbler, Weebill, Fan-tailed Cuckoo
Bushland adjacent to Coutts Crossing Cemetery
One Speckled Warbler observed on ground and then in trees, Weebill heard calling, adult Fan-tailed Cuckoo near creek - all uncommon winter visitors/migrants to the site. The cuckoo had a very short tail which was obviously regrowing.
