2 birds at the "usual" site, where I understand they haven't been recorded for a while? My first. Despite photos etc I wasn't prepared for that vivid fox-red chestband. Beautiful little things.

Have seen a female eastern spinebill in our suburban garden in the last few weeks. Last seen was a male bird 2 years ago . Prior to that I had not seen it for years. (Moderator’s note: occasionally seen in Adelaide suburbs in autumn).
